BluFish (Bannatyne)

If you’re looking for the best sushi in winnipeg, blufish is what you’re looking for.

Tucked away in a small street near the corner of Main, at the heart of Winnipeg’s Exchange District, blufish is a gem of a restaurant.

If you want to experience amazing food, this is the place to be. The interior is simple – clean and elegant. The service is friendly and efficient but not overbearing. The menus are easy to read and although it is not a cheap restaurant, you will definitely get your money’s worth.

Our favourite dish in BluFish is without a doubt the Ben Signature Roll that’s topped with an incredible smoked salmon.

Sushi Kuni (Provencher)

Another great sushi place to try if you find yourself in the St. Boniface area (just off the Provencher Bridge).

This small place is not as “fancy” is the other places, and with more down-to-earth prices, you can enjoy some great sushi, without losing your pants.

Right now, during the latest Omicron wave, the place is only open for take-away and you can order their great sushi on Skip.

Our favourite over there must be the Hurricane Roll with spicy tuna and avocado.

Wasabi (Broadway)

If you’re looking for the best sushi in Winnipeg, or for a fine dining place, we’d recommend Wasabi Sushi on Broadway. This is not your typical sushi restaurant. The atmosphere is great and it’s also one of the more elegant sushi places in Winnipeg, with great service and atmosphere.

The food there is fantastic – we loved their Winnipeg Jets Roll 30 (with lobster and shrimp tempura) and the East Meets West (with lobster, mango and avocado).

If you are looking for the best sushi in Winnipeg, this is definitely one of the places to go to.

Yujiro (Grant)

Another great sushi restaurant in Winnipeg, is Yujiro on Grant.

Located in River Heights, just before you hit route 90, this gem of a sushi bar is cozy & contemporary, and is a little different than other sushi place in Winnipeg.

Although we’ve gathered here to talk sushi, this comfy sushi bar also have great bento dishes, as well as fantastic noodle bowls.

This sushi bar is also reasonably price.

Don’t forget to try their extraordinary Japanese ice-cream for the dessert with flavours of mango, green tea, lychee and black sesame.
